Are art of problem solving books good?

AOPS books are one of the greatest set of textbooks designed for early (up to 12th grade) math education. Books are designed in a way that a student can learn his/her pace independently. They go much deeper into concepts and teach the right math.

How much does art of problem solving cost?

Costs for AoPS Academy Academic Year Courses (see Course Schedule) consist of the following: Annual registration fee: $45, charged once per academic year per student. The fee is only paid once if a student enrolls in multiple courses. Curriculum fee: $50 per course.

But if they're comfortable with the AoPS format, skipping BA5 to go to Prealgebra directly should be ok as well
