What is an audax ride?
Audax is a series of non-competitive cycling rides that are popular with many Cycling UK members. Participants attempt to cycle long distances within set time limits, with success measured by completion rather than speed.
How can I join audax?
To join:
- Register using the Online Membership Form (just the main member at this stage if you want to include household members)
- Wait for your verification email and activate your account.
- Choose your subscription type and add any household members, then pay via Direct Debit or credit/debit card or Paypal.
What speed is audax?
The minimum and maximum speeds for the Spring into the Dales Audax event is 12kph to 24kph, and these speeds are total average speeds not moving average speeds. These speed limits include any time spent stationary. Brevet de Randonneur events are internationally recognised long distance rides, covering at least 200km.
What is super randonneur?
Super Randonnées were created by the Audax Club Parisien in 2009. Super Randonnées are mountainous Permanents of 600 km (373 miles) with over 10.000 m (32.800 ft) of elevation gain. Riders have the option of riding a Super Randonnée either as a Randonneur or as a Tourist. Randonneurs have a 60 hour time limit.
