How do I get my breast screen results?

Your screening mammogram results will be prepared and sent to you approximately two weeks after your breast screening appointment. If you have any concerns – or if you do not receive your results within a few weeks after your screening mammogram – call BreastScreen NSW on 13 20 50.
Is breast screening free in Qld?
BreastScreen Queensland. BreastScreen Queensland is part of the National BreastScreen Australia program, providing access to free screening and assessment, to eligible women every 2 years. The program is available to women at over 260 locations throughout the state.
Do I need a referral for BreastScreen Qld?
We offer free breast screening for Queensland women who are 40 and over, and haven't noticed any changes to their breasts. You don't need a doctor's referral to have a breast screen.
How common is it to be recalled after a mammogram?
Getting called back for additional mammogram views or a biopsy is pretty common and doesn't necessarily mean you have cancer. Fewer than 1 in 10 women who are called back after a routine screening mammogram for additional views or other tests turn out to have breast cancer.
