Who can apply to CaRMS?
Graduates of a Canadian Medical School who are: Currently Internal Medicine Residents at PGY-3 or PGY-4 level. Currently in their final year (R5), or who have completed training in a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada accredited program in Anesthesia, or Neurology.
What is r1 CaRMS?
The R-1 Main Residency Match (R-1 match) for entry level postgraduate training positions encompasses more than 4,800 applicants and 30 programs at Canada's 17 medical schools every year.
What is regular stream CaRMS?
Regular stream -- all applicants can apply; positions are in Quebec only. IMG stream -- graduates of international medical schools only; including graduates of schools of osteopathic medicine. CMG ROS -- graduates of Canadian Medical schools only, matched applicants would have to sign a return of service.
