Are FTCE exams still free?
From April 1 through July 31, 2020, Florida Teacher Certification Examinations (FTCE) candidates can register for their exams free of charge. The test doesn't have to be taken in that time frame, the state says. A voucher for a free exam is good for one year from the date you register.
What happens if my Florida teaching certificate expires?
If your Florida teaching certificate has expired, you may apply for its reinstatement. Along with the renewal application and processing fee, you must submit documentation of completion of at least six semester hours of credit in each area in which you are certified during the past five years.
Can I print a copy of my Florida teaching certificate?
The Florida Department of Education (FL DOE) has launched the new Educator Certification System. An online account is required in the new system to view information about your certificate and to complete all certificate transactions. An option to print the certificate will be available through the online system.
Is the Florida teacher certification exam hard?
The answer is yes. The FTCE does cover a lot of information and is challenging. You will need to review the information from your teacher prep courses and study materials to prepare. Information on each exam can be found on the FTCE website.
