Does Cross Country WiFi work?
WiFi access is complimentary when you travel First Class with us. Travelling First Class means you can also enjoy larger, reclining seats, more table space and a calm environment.
Is Cross Country WiFi free?
Yes - CrossCountry know how important it is for our customers to stay in touch whilst on the move. Following on from customer feedback, we are offering free WiFi to our passengers in both standard and First Class.
Why does Amtrak WiFi not work?
Our onboard WiFi network relies on bandwidth provided by cellular carriers who have towers along our routes. The bandwidth available from these towers is limited and our speed may not match what you are used to receiving from stationary WiFi networks such as your home or office.
Do trains have free WiFi?
An increasing number of Train Operating Companies are providing onboard Wi-Fi facilities for customers. Wi-Fi provision is more commonly available on long distance inter-city routes as opposed to shorter commuter routes. The charges and availability varies with different train operating companies as below.
How do I claim compensation for a delayed train?
You can claim compensation by visiting the train company's website - most have online forms you can use. You'll probably need to upload a picture of your ticket. You can write them a letter if you'd prefer. You'll need to give details of your journey, and send your original tickets.
Can I change my seat on Cross Country trains?
If you have purchased a flexible ticket (including an Anytime, Off-Peak or Super Off-Peak ticket) you may be able to add or change your seat reservation(s) before you start your journey. To add or change your reservation, sign in to My account and then select 'View your bookings'.
Can you charge your phone on Cross Country trains?
Power sockets for laptops and mobile phones are located next to almost all seats in both First Class and Standard Class accommodation.
