What is Dbia?
A Design-Build Professional® (DBIA®) requires two to six years of hands-on experience of pre- and post-award design-build. These credential holders come from traditional design and construction background in both public and private sectors including architects, engineers and construction professionals.
Does design-build save money?
Design-Build Projects Save Money
In addition to your time savings, we've found that clients save anywhere from 6%-10% on projects when using a design-build process instead of traditional construction. Again, fewer conflicts between different players means less wasted resources.
What is the difference between EPC and design-build?
EPC contractors are often handed little more than performance requirements (output levels, uptime levels, maintenance expense maximums, etc.), whereas most design-build contracts provide at least some design detail in the bridging documents.
What is the Dbia code of professional conduct?
This Code addresses Professionals' responsibilities to the public, clients and users of design-build services, co-workers and employees, those who perform, furnish, or provide design-build services, and competitors in the design-build marketplace.
