Contact our Licensing and COES team in the following ways:

How do I find my ESV ID?

If you do not have your licence User ID, pin number or password, please email a request for details to: [email protected]. Please include your Licence number, date of birth and current address, and we will provide you with your User ID details.

What is electrical ESV?

Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) is responsible for licensing and registering all electricians and electrical tradespersons, which is a requirement to undertake electrical work in Victoria.

How do you buy certificates on ESVConnect?

Purchasing
  1. On the ESVConnect homepage, click on the appropriate REC number under “My Registrations”
  2. In your REC Profile, select “Purchase Certificates”
  3. Follow the prompts to purchase certificates for your use under your REC.

Who can do electrical work in Victoria?

The Electricity Safety Act 1998 and regulations under the Act require that only registered electrical contractors can contract to the general public to undertake electrical installation work. Similarly the legislation requires that electrical installation work can only be undertaken by licensed electricians.
