How do I get a FR19?
The form can only be issued by a vehicle insurance company licensed to do business in Maryland or an authorized agent of such a company. It's only valid for 30 days. It can be faxed or submitted electronically eFR-19 to the MVA by your vehicle insurance company or authorized agent.
What is an FR-19?
So, an FR-19 simply verifies that you had insurance at the time it was filed and can be used to verify this fact if requested. The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) and the Delaware Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) requests an FR-19 from your insurance company each time you go to renew your registration.
