Can you make an HBF claim online?
We'll process online claims within two days for ancillary treatment and ten working days for hospital and medical treatment. Once your claim is complete you'll receive a Statement of Benefit notification by email or letter, summarising the benefit HBF has contributed towards the claim.
Can I claim medication on HBF?
If you're an eligible HBF health member, the personally prepared, safe and easy-to-use medication packing service is fully covered*. The service is only $5 a week for non-members.

Does HBF cover hip replacement?
HBF will cover prostheses that are listed on the government prostheses list. Most prostheses are fully covered; however, your doctor may use a prosthesis that isn't listed on the government prostheses list, in which case you'll have an out-of-pocket expense.
