Our legal structure today: HIF is an Australian public company limited by guarantee and governed by the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth). We are registered with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission ('ASIC') in the name of Health Insurance Fund of Australia Limited ACN 128 302 161.

- The member's full name.
- The patient's name.
- The healthcare provider's name.
- The member's signature.
- An itemised account (original copy)
- The receipt (if paid).
How do I cancel my HIF membership?
So once you've joined HIF, just give your old fund a call and let them know the date you've nominated your HIF cover to commence, then request that your membership and direct debit be cancelled on the same day.
Does HIF cover skin checks?
skin cancer screening. We can pay a benefit on any HIF-approved Skin Cancer Screening provider in instances where a Medicare benefit doesn't apply. Please contact us to find out if your screening provider is eligible for benefits.
