How much does LETRS cost?
Tuition: $1545 per course and applicable fees. In addition to cost of tuition, each student must have a LETRS textbook and online license.

LETRS® (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling), developed by Dr. Louisa Moats and Dr. Carol Tolman, provides teachers with the skills they need to master the fundamentals of reading instruction—phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, writing, and language.
How do you get LETRS training?
Each attendee must meet eligibility requirements:
- Complete the online content of the LETRS course.
- Attend the post-Unit trainings for the LETRS course (Four total days for LETRS; two for LETRS for Early Childhood Educators)
- Pass the end-of-course exam.
- Purchase a Facilitator Kit upon meeting prerequisites.

How do I log in to the LETRS Online Platform?
- Go to letrs.com.
- Enter your username and password and click Log In.
- For security purposes, change your password after your first login.
How many hours does LETRS training take?
The time to complete the reading, online, and Bridge to Practice activities will vary, but as a rough guide, each volume takes approximately 48-60 hours of individual study to complete. Online course (including reading/participant manual): approximately eight hours per unit.
How much work is LETRS training?
Prerequisites to Become a LETRS Facilitator
Attend four days of Unit training, with one full day (6 instructional hours) dedicated to each Unit in the Volume. These can be virtual or in person, spread across several months. Pass the post-test with a score of 88 percent or better.
