How do I enable fingerprint scanner in Linux?

Go to Settings and the click on Users from left sidebar. You should see all the user account on your system here. You'll see several option including Fingerprint Login. Click on the Fingerprint Login option here.

How do you login using fingerprints?

To set up your mobile device for Fingerprint login:
Click the Touch ID option on the main screen of the mobile app. Authenticate your account by entering your Username and Password. Then click. Place your thumb over the fingerprint reader and leave it there until your device has recognized it.

Can I use fingerprint in Ubuntu?

Click on Users to open the panel. Press on Disabled, next to Fingerprint Login to add a fingerprint for the selected account. If you are adding the fingerprint for a different user, you will first need to Unlock the panel. Select the finger that you want to use for the fingerprint, then Next.
