How SmartRide works:
- After enrolling, download and activate the app.
- Drive as you normally do, and confirm the first few trips.
- Check the app often to see your progress and track your discount.
- Lock in your final discount at the end of the program. We'll apply your discount* at your next policy renewal.
Should I use Nationwide SmartRide app?
Nationwide SmartRide is worth it if you're a loyal policyholder looking for more ways to shave money off your discount. The program will not raise your rates or surcharge your policy, so you essentially have nothing to lose by adding it.
What does Nationwide SmartRide track?
Drivers insured with Nationwide Insurance could join SmartRide, an optional program that provides an additional discount for good driving habits. As a usage-based insurance program, Nationwide's SmartRide tracks driving history and habits to calculate the discount amount.
