How long does a speed awareness course last? There is no strict time limit for how long a driver awareness course must last. On average, a speed awareness course takes around four hours to complete.

What happens if you do not attend a speed awareness course?
In the instance that you do not attend your course, you will need to contact the course provider as soon as possible to see if you are able to rebook. Note that you may have to pay a rebooking fee. There will be some instances where you are not able to rebook and therefore legal proceedings will take place.
Can I do my speed awareness course online?
During the current period of COVID-19 'lockdown', NDORS courses are available online – Speed Awareness, the Motorway Course, and What's Driving Us?. So it doesn't matter where you live… you can choose your course from any course provider that provides the course.
