We are very pleased to announce complimentary online access to the New York Times is now available with your library card! Free Library card holders will now have free access to NYTimes.com and all NYT mobile apps, as well as the paper's international editions.
How do I get free NYT digital access?
Free 72-Hour Pass to NY Times Online
- Click on the New York Times Digital code redemption link on the SF Library page.
- Click Redeem to get 72 hours of continuous access.
- Register with your personal email address, or click on “log in here” if you have already created an account.

Returning Library Materials
Items checked out from any Los Angeles Public Library may be returned to any of its 72 branches or to the Central Library. Items may be returned in person or through a bookdrop.

To receive a library card you can fill out an application in person at any Los Angeles Public Library location, or download the application form , fill it out and bring it in to any location, or pre-register over the Internet by visiting the Library's Web Pre-Registration Page.
