That will mean it's an unsupported version & require a ton of support overhead on y'all's end, vs using stock & adjusting with plugins and such, which should cover the targeted features.

For a custom UI, a UiPlugin is the way to go. For adjusting stuff, maybe an AssetPlugin (look at https://t.co/jSsmEciQ9t for what's possible)

@OctoPrint3D OctoPi is not OctoPrint. Yes, it is the most used way of running OctoPrint, but with a bit of work you can also set it up manually on just about anything. Linux heartily recommended, though it IS platform agnostic and actually getting developed on Windows ;)

@OctoPrint3D Did you know? OctoPrint runs on more than just Raspberry Pis. Do you have an old laptop lying around? Or an old Android phone? Or a Steam Deck? 🤪 As long as you can run Python 3 on it, you can run probably run OctoPrint on it. And for Android, take a look at Octo4a!
