What is Opal connect?
With Opal Connect, customers create an account via the transportnsw.info website and then securely link their Opal card and their credit or debit card. Customers can then use their Opal Connect account to sign in to different transport operator's apps to book and pay for their travel.

Description of the Opal Connect Trial
The initiative links Opal fares with On-Demand Bus Service fares and On-Demand Ferry Service Fares, and provides Opal Connect Travel Credits to participants when they change between modes of transport within 60 minutes which can be used to pay for future On-Demand Services.

Where can you use your Opal card?
You can use your Opal card on metro, train, bus, ferry and light rail services. Opal cards remains the cheaper option if you are entitled to travel with a Child/Youth Opal card, Gold Senior/Pensioner Opal card or a Concession Opal card.
