What is OpenAthens net?
OpenAthens is an authentication and electronic access management system that provides access to the library's licensed online resources via single sign-on (SSO) technology both on and off campus. It is replacing our current system, EZproxy. OpenAthens is a “gateway” service to facilitate access to publisher content.
How do I log into OpenAthens?
1. Login via a publisher or information discovery website. If you go straight to a discovery search or publisher website you'll need to look for 'sign in' or 'login' on the homepage. Click on this and look for the OpenAthens, Shibboleth or 'login via your institution' button.

An NHS OpenAthens account gives you access, through the Knowledge and Library Hub to databases of journal articles, the full text of journals and eBooks. In addition, having an OpenAthens Account allows you to access the full text of journals in the area of paramedicine paid for by the library.
