What is Polar Plus?

The BP Pulse charging network – which used to be known as the Polar Plus network before a December 2020 rebrand – consists of more than 8,000 charging points across the UK, including some slow chargers and hundreds of rapid chargers nationwide.

What is Polar Plus subscription?

One of the best is BP Chargemaster's Polar Plus membership thanks to its 7,000 charge points dotted across the UK. Subscription grants you access to plenty of free chargers. Whether you're using a standard public charger or a rapid charger, you'll always pay less for your electricity than a non-member, too.

Is Polar plus free?

With the Polar Plus subscription, a majority of public charging points on the Polar network are free to use. For those posts which are chargeable, drivers simply pay for the electricity used on a per kWh basis; with prices starting from 12p per kWh.

Is bp pulse the same as polar?

From today, bp pulse is the new name for both bp Chargemaster, one of the UK's leading electric vehicle charging companies; and Polar, the UK's largest public charging network.

@bppulseuk @CathyMWelch Good question; that £1.50 is a minimum fee for guest charging. If you use, say, £3 worth of electricity, that £1.50 is included within, not on top of. App users have no minimum charge, and electricity's cheaper for app users, even with a free account! ^Jay

@bppulseuk @honestevowner Hey there. Looking on our system, it was reporting an average speed through the charge of 70kW. I can see it's slower now in the picture as the vehicle's quite fully charged so it'll be pulling that speed down. What's your EV's max charge speeds at that battery level? ^Jay

@bppulseuk @blueghostuk A fair question, Michael. At this time, we only employ overstay fees on the 50 & 150 units to encourage rotated availability. The best deterrent we see on most free chargers for day-long charges is if the site were to add parking restrictions at this time! ^Jay

@bppulseuk we’re currently experiencing high calls volumes at this moment and you may experience some delays in your call being answered. charging with contactless or RFID cards this will work as of normal. If you’re using the app you will need to revert to a different payment method.

@bppulseuk @claireoc1978 I'd suggest you delete your scheduled chargers followed by reset of your Homecharge unit by: Holding down the ‘Function’ button for 10 seconds. Release the function button. The home charger will power down and begin to reboot. 2/2
