@jimeetm Concluding observation: The entry time and price for lumpsum investments is extremely critical in short and even medium time frames like 5 years. In cases of very long holding periods of 10-15 years, the entry point though relevant, becomes less relevant.

@jimeetm A few observations: 10 Year Avg CAGR is 15.4% but there are extremes of 2.6% and 30.5% also! If you enter in extremely euphoric times, the outcomes can be very poor even after holding from a long term horizon of 10 years.

@jimeetm 5/ For a stock to be a 100-bagger it needs to be a 10-bagger first NIFTY only buys proven winners. It doesn’t predict winners but instead waits for actual winners to emerge and in many cases ends up buying after a stock would be up many-fold. Better to buy winners than predict.

@jimeetm 1/ India has no concept on non-binding offers. The moment an offer is made and filed with SEBI, the acquirer has to go through with the offer. This reduces uncertainty for investors. In USA, Elon Musk made an offer and filed with the SEC as well, but it was a non-binding one.🫣
