Customers were also particularly happy with their energy coming from an eco-friendly, renewable source.

Is So Energy a good supplier?

Impartial review site Trustpilot gives So Energy an overall rating of 'Excellent' with a score of 4.7 out of 5. A whopping 88% of the 5,500 So Energy reviews posted to Trustpilot rate the company as 'Excellent'. Another 9% of reviews rate the supplier as 'Great' while just 3% give it a 'Bad' score.

Does So Energy still exist?

So Energy has today (27 August 2021) announced that it will be merging with ESB Energy. So Energy has been helping UK homes to switch to green electricity since 2015, and has around 250,000 domestic energy customers. ESB will be taking a majority stake in So Energy's business.

Are So Energy still trading?

The merger of So Energy and ESB Energy, the group's UK retail brand, will result in a business serving more than 300,000 customers. The company will continue to trade as So Energy, with ESB retaining 75 per cent of the new combined entity.
