What is TheGenealogist website?

TheGenealogist is a family history website that provides subscriptions for researchers to help search genealogy records in the United Kingdom.

How do I cancel my genealogist subscription?

To cancel your trial subscription, go to your Account, then click the 'Cancel' button on the right hand side. Please note: this is only to cancel your trial subscription, to cancel a paid subscription please click the 'No' button below and send us an email.

How much does genealogist cost?

Most professional genealogists charge an hourly rate for research or similar work. Hourly rates can vary from $30 to $40 per hour to well over $200 per hour, based on experience, location, project type and uses, demand, time constraints, and other factors.

Is TheGenealogist any good?

The Genealogist is the best genealogy site I have used by far. I have particularly enjoyed using the high quality and extensive non-conformist records on the site. I have always recommended the site to people I know who have been studying their family history.

How much does a genealogist cost UK?

Many UK Genealogists work on an hourly rate fee or by means of fixed fee packages. Generally the hourly rate will be between £15 per hour to £50 per hour plus expenses but currently most seem to charge between £20 – £30 per hour plus expenses. When you hire a Genealogist you need to agree the charges first.

Can I hire someone to trace my family history?

A professional genealogist can help you trace your ancestors. For example, a genealogist may be able to discover who your immigrant ancestors were and where they came from. Or, a genealogist can research one of your family lines back to a specific time period or individual.

How can I trace my family tree?

Historical and government records can help you trace your heritage. Use these free resources to research and build your family tree. The National Archives and Records Administration has a collection of resources for genealogists.
