to access the full WGEA Portal you must have a myGovID and you will need to be authorised to represent your organisation for WGEA. Visit www.abr.gov.au/mynewkey to set up your myGovID.

What is a Wgea report?

It is a mandatory program for all 'relevant employers' under the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 (the Act). By submitting your report, you're not only meeting your compliance obligations, but contributing to the Agency's world-leading dataset on gender equality in Australian workplaces.

What are the six gender equality indicators?

The workplace gender equality indicators are:
  • gender pay equity.
  • gender composition at all levels of the workforce.
  • gender composition of governing bodies.

  • recruitment and promotion.

What is Wgea report?

The WEGA report is a short report and questionnaire detailing the gender ratio of employees and contractors in occupational categories, including apprentices and trainees.

@WGEAgency The results are similar to WGEA’s Gender Equality Scorecard 2021-22 which found men account for 13% of all primary carer’s leave taken (up from 12% in 2021 and 6% in 2020). Despite 3/5 employers offering paid parental leave and 92% of those offer it equally to men and women.
