@wildlife_vic Some promising news out this morning with @theheraldsun reporting a potential ban on duck hunting to be made prior to a 2023 season. Banning duck hunting in Victoria would bring the state in line with WA, NSW and QLD. https://t.co/kR8dVJyg0z

@wildlife_vic Wildlife Victoria opposes the Kangaroo Harvesting Program on the grounds it is unsustainable, unnecessary, cruel, and lacks in-field supervision. It monetises the killing of kangaroos and prioritises commercial interests above our unique wildlife. https://t.co/eKmDvzX4kQ

@wildlife_vic Did you know? Wildlife rescuers spray paint deceased animals on the side of the road to signal it has been checked for pouch young. A joey can survive for several days inside its mother's pouch so it's important pouches are checked as soon as possible. https://t.co/n1sQ0zofEj

@wildlife_vic Over Christmas, Wildlife Victoria experiences an influx of wildlife-related road trauma reports with kangaroos most impacted. Slowing down by just 10% reduces your chance of a road incident and helps joeys like this one stay with their mum. https://t.co/MeP8zvTh4i

@wildlife_vic As we experience the impacts of the climate crisis, so do our native wildlife. As we experience rising temperatures, so do they. As we experience longer draughts, so do they. As seas rise & land mass decreases, so does theirs. We’re all in this together. Full report @CSIRO /3
