What is a WINDA?
WINDA is the Global Wind Organisations' database for training records. It is a global database where all records of GWO certified training that have been performed by a GWO certified Training Provider will be uploaded.
What is WINDA number?
The WINDA ID is the unique personal identification number you get when you register in WINDA. It is formed of a combination of letters and numbers representing your initials, a six digit code and two letters representing the country of your nationality.

- Go to www.winda.globalwindsafety.org.
- Select 'Register'
- Select 'Delegate Registration'
- Complete the form.
- Ensure you accept the T&C's and Data Privacy and select 'Registration'
- An activation email will be sent to your email address.
- Choose a password and select 'Activate and Login'
How do I find my Winda ID?

How long does GWO training last?
How can I get Winda?
Anyone can get a WINDA ID by signing up for a course participant (Delegate) account in WINDA (See video below). Please note that only Delegate accounts use WINDA IDs. Training providers and organisation accounts do not get a WINDA ID.
What does GWO training consist of?
To obtain a certificate you need to complete all five elements of Initial entry GWO Basic Safety Training – Sea Survival Training, Fire Awareness Training, Manual Handling Training, First Aid Training and Working at Height Training. You will receive your certificate on successful completion of all the training.
