Can I get a refund on duty free?
Has something gone wrong? If your item has developed a fault, we are able to offer a full refund, a replacement (stock dependant) or an exchange for another item (stock dependant) within one year of the date of purchase. As long as you can provide us with a copy of your proof of purchase, we can help you.
Does duty free still exist?
On 1st January 2021 the rules for duty-free shopping in the UK changed. As we have now come to the end of the Brexit transition period and started our new relationship with the EU, the government has brought the rules for duty free shopping in line with the rest of the world.
How much is duty free discount?
Duty free is shopping at airports exempt from duty or VAT, currently set at 20 per cent. The saving is only available to passengers flying outside the EU.
Who owns duty free stores?
It is privately held and majority owned by the luxury conglomerate Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH), alongside DFS co-founder and shareholder Robert Warren Miller. As of January 11, 1997, DFS Group operates as a subsidiary of LVMH.
