What age do you have to be to volunteer at Barnardos?
We'll give you training and support - and you can choose how much time you volunteer. Some volunteers give us two hours a week, others give us 20. They're all making a vital contribution to our work. We welcome children and young people as volunteers too – you just need to be 14 or over.
What do Barnardos volunteers do?
Our Children's Services volunteers help Barnardo's to deliver essential services in local communities, providing support to over 300,000 children, young people & their families. This role provides a great opportunity to make a real difference.
How do I volunteer for Barnardos?
You can apply to [email protected] or complete our online volunteer enquiry form (add hyperlink). While the roles can be spread across the country in the Barnardos projects, the recruitment and shortlisting of the candidate is mainly done in the national office.
How can I help Barnardos?
To speak to someone, ask your local authority for their Early Help service. You can find your local authority here. Then, search for Early Help or Family Support. If it is difficult to find a service to help you, do call us for free on 0800 157 7015 until 31 March, and we will do our best to help.
How do I stop paying Barnardos?
If you receive a refund you are not entitled to, you must pay it back when Barnardo's asks you to. You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply contacting your bank or building society. Written confirmation may be required.
