How do I log into Bookshare?
To access a book with Bookshare Web Reader, the student should log in to Bookshare with his/her user name and password as set by the Sponsor. Once logged in, the student can: Select "My Bookshare." Navigate to the appropriate shared Reading List.
How do I listen to books on Bookshare?
Use the search box at the top of the page to search for a book. Once you've found the book, select the "Read Now" link under the download options. When the book opens in your browser, select the Play button (the "speaker" icon) in the top right corner of Web Reader to start the audio.
How do you set up a Bookshare account?
There are three steps to becoming a Bookshare member:
- Register online. Click “Sign Up Today” Click Sign Up Individual. Complete all of the required fields. A welcome email will be sent to confirm your account submission.
- Provide proof of disability. Review the list of qualifying disabilities.
- Pay membership fee.
Do you have to pay for Bookshare?
Bookshare® is FREE for qualified U.S. students of any age and schools through an award from OSEP (Office of Special Education Programs, U.S. Department of Education). People with qualifying conditions who are not U.S. students, and organizations serving them, pay a low membership fee.
