A guarantor is a great sign to us that someone trusts you and that we should too, no matter what your credit score! A guarantor's responsibility is to make the loan repayments if the borrower does not.

- Have equity in their property and a stable income to satisfy lenders.
- Have a good personal credit rating.
- Be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident.
- Be above 18 but below 65 years old (as few lenders accept older people and retirees as guarantors)

Even if you fail the criteria set down by a lender for a personal loan, you might still apply for a personal loan by having a guarantor, such as a parent co-sign the loan.
