Can I check my UIF balance online?
You can check the status of your Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) claim online.
How do you check if you are UIF registered?
Use the BizProfile option to check if your application has been processed. Your Compensation Fund and UIF registration numbers will be displayed under the "other" section. Contact both the Compensation Fund and the UIF to submit declarations. Note that you will not receive any communication from them.
How do I register my CV for labour?
All you have to do is register as a job seeker on the Public Employment Services (PES) system. Once you have registered and logged in to ESSA, you will be able to capture/edit your CV, search their database for opportunities and apply online for opportunities at no cost.

How long does it take for UIF to pay out?
You will be notified once your UIF claim is approved when to submit a payment request form. The first payment will be made to your bank account two to four days after the process is complete. You must also claim within six months after your last day of employment.
