Who can access ImmuNet?
Only you, your doctor, or healthcare workers (who can assist you) have access to the information. ImmuNet users must be authorized to have access to data stored in ImmuNet.
What is Maryland ImmuNet?
ImmuNet is Maryland's Immunization Information System (IIS), a confidential and secure database that is HIPAA compliant. It stores an individual's vaccination records, and is a web-based tool for healthcare providers and schools to keep their patients/students vaccinated on time and avoid under or over vaccinated.
Can I get a copy of my immunization records online?
Only doctors, schools, child-care centers, public healthcare providers, and other authorized healthcare organizations may directly access ImmTrac. Immunization records are NOT available to view online by the general public, including parents or legal guardians.
What is required to be reported to ImmuNet?
As of October 1, 2019, all vaccinations administered in the State of Maryland are required to be reported to Maryland's Immunization Information System, ImmuNet. This new requirement was passed into law during the 2019 legislative session, and is codified in State Statute §18– 109(d)(6)(I)3.
