What services do RNIB offer?

We recognise everyone's unique experience of sight loss and offer help and support for blind and partially sighted people – this can be anything from practical and emotional support, campaigning for change, reading services and the products we offer in our online shop.

Who can use RNIB?

We have three categories: Child - up to 12 years. Teen - 13 to 16 years. Adult - 16 years plus.

Can you still get talking books?

THE TALKING Books service, which provides 4,000 audio books every single day to people with sight loss, is now free for all blind and partially sighted people. ... Readers can access the audio books on CD or USB or as a digital download, so that they can listen to them how they choose, whether at home or 'on-the-go'.

How do I register for RNIB books?

Get started. For more information or to sign up to the RNIB Library get in touch: Call our Helpline on 0303 123 9999. Email [email protected].

Is RNIB a good charity?

RNIB Pears centre
In 2017 and 2018, serious issues were identified by Ofsted and the CQC. The independent review found that the centre operated with too much independence from the main charity, was resistant to criticism, provided poor staff training and made frequent errors relating to medication.
