Is ViewRanger being discontinued?

We would like to inform you of an important change: Soon the ViewRanger service will be discontinued. We currently expect to switch off access to the ViewRanger app and website at the end of February 2022.

How much does ViewRanger cost UK?

Currently the annual subscription for the Premium services costs £29.99 for OS Maps and £24.99 for ViewRanger. Both the apps are free to download but if you buy a paper OS map you are given a code which allows you to download the map and access it in perpetuity.

Whats happened to ViewRanger?

ViewRanger is now part of the Outdooractive family. The ViewRanger and Outdooractive teams are working together on one amazing platform. All improvements, new maps, new features etc. will be available on the combined Outdooractive platform and app.

Why is my ViewRanger not working?

Android 9 and above: Go to the device "Settings" app, Location. Make sure it is enabled and tap "Google Location Accuracy" and make sure that is on to. If you have any Power or Battery saving settings enabled in the device "Settings" app, disable Power saving for now - or at least tell it to allow ViewRanger to run.
